Rocío Martínez-Sampere

Rocío Martínez-Sampere has been Director of the Felipe González Foundation since October 2015.
Between 2006 and 2015, she was a member of the Catalan Parliament for Barcelona for the Socialist Party (PSC), where she was spokesperson for Economics and Budgets. She has worked in the Directorate of Analysis and Foresight of the Office of the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of catalonia) from 2004 to 2010.
She was Head of the office of the President of CIDOB (2000-2004), coordinator of the research team at the Rafael Campalans Foundation –of which she is still a member of its board of trustees–, and a researcher at the Flor de Maig Autonomous Body of Barcelona Provincial Council (2000-2004). She has worked as an analyst in the City of London and at the Fabian Society, a foundation associated with the Labour Party in the UK.
She holds a master’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in government and public policy from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a Degree in Economics from the Pompeu Fabra University.
