Marta Domínguez

Marta Domínguez Jiménez is a PhD candidate at the Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros (CEMFI), with the support of the María de Maeztu Units of Excellence Programme (Spanish Government research agency).
She spent two years as a Research Analyst at the think tank Bruegel, where she focused her research on monetary policy, financial systems, international trade and capital flows. In addition to publishing at Bruegel, she has also published in academic journals and in reports for the European Parliament and the European Commission, among others.
She has worked as an Analyst within Citigroup’s Markets division in London, where she worked on structuring fixed income products and developing quantitative investment strategies. She is co-author of the book Who will speak European? The challenge of building a political union without a common language, published by Clave Intelectual (2021).
She holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Oxford and a MA from the College of Europe in Bruges.
