Federico de Torres Muro is the Permanent Representative of Spain to NATO.

As a career diplomat, he has served as Director General of Foreign Policy and Security and Director of Strategy, Foresight and Coherence. Additionally, he has been the Ambassador of Spain to El Salvador and Ecuador and has held various positions in the Spanish embassies in Tripoli, Buenos Aires, London, and Rabat. He has also worked at the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean, and the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Government, among others.

He holds a BA in Geography and History from the Complutense University of Madrid.
