Eloísa del Pino

Eloísa del Pino Matute is President of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
She was previously Deputy Director of Institutional Analysis at the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF). She has been Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare between 2018 and 2020 and directed the Observatory of Quality of Services in the Agency for the Evaluation of Policies and Quality of Services (AEVAL) between 2009 and 2011.
She has been a Professor of Political Science and Administration at the King Juan Carlos University (URJC) and the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). During her academic career she has also been a Visiting Researcher at the IEP-Bordeaux and at the Universities of Kent, Ottawa and Oxford.
Her lines of research have focused on public policies and their evaluation, political determinants of social policy reform and the welfare state, as well as citizens’ attitudes towards the State and public policies, the Administration and its management.
Eloísa del Pino holds a PhD in Political Science and a Degree in Law and Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid.
She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid and the Ortega y Gasset Research Institute (IUIOG), a master’s degree in Organisation and Human Resources (ESIC), a Degree in Law (UNED) and in Political Science and Sociology (Complutense University of Madrid).
