ABOUT DAVID

David López-Salido is Senior Associate Director of the US Federal Reserve’s Board Division of Monetary Affairs.

He is the first Spaniard to work at the US Federal Reserve (FED) as part of the team that, among other issues, prepares the reports prior to the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meetings, where the FED’s monetary policy decisions are made. He has been a particularly active practitioner in the tenures of Ben Bernanke, Janet Yellen and James Powell.

He has worked at the Research Unit of the Bank of Spain, Stanford University, the Bank of Finland, the European Central Bank and the Bank of England.

He holds a PhD in Quantitative Economics, postgraduate studies at the Centre for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI) and a Degree in Economics from the University of Cordoba.
