David López Salido

ABOUT DAVID

David López-Salido is Director General Economics at the Bank of Spain (Banco de España).

Between 2006 and 2025, he held various positions at the United States Federal Reserve (FED), being particularly active during the terms of Ben Bernanke, Janet Yellen, and James Powell.

Previously, he worked at the Research Department of the Bank of Spain, Stanford University, the Bank of Finland, the European Central Bank, and the Bank of England.

He holds a PhD in Quantitative Economics, has completed postgraduate studies at the Centre for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI) and has a degree in Economics from the University of Córdoba.
