ABOUT CARLOS

Carlos Scartascini is economist and researcher at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where he leads the Development Research Group at the Research Department, and the Behavioral Economics Group.

He serves on the Executive Committee of the Gender and Diversity Lab at the IDB and the Advisory Committee of the Master of Behavioral and Decision Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also an Associate Editor of the Economía LACEA Journal and a founding member of LACEA BRAIN (Behavioral Insights Network).

He has authored eight books and over sixty articles in academic books and journals.

He holds a PhD and a master’s degree in economics from George Mason University in the United States, and a BA in Economics from the National University of the South in Argentina.
