Andrés Malamud

Andrés Malamud is Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS-ULisboa). His research is focused on democratic institutions, foreign policy and regional integration processes. His geographical areas of specialisation are Europe and Latin America.
He has been a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute (Heidelberg, Germany) and at the University of Maryland (College Park, USA). He has performed consulting work for the Inter-American Dialogue, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and the European Parliament. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Latin American Association of Political Science (ALACIP).
He is the author of the book El oficio más antiguo del mundo: Secretos, mentiras y belleza de la política. His academic work has been published in more than twenty countries and he regularly writes opinion columns in the newspapers La Nación and Clarín (Argentina).
He holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) and a Degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires.
