Álex Romero is founder and CEO of Alto Intelligence, a cyber security and cyber intelligence firm specializing in real-time AI-powered risk detection and mitigation space. He is also a Partner at Ballistic Ventures and serves on the boards of Endeavor and Telefónica Tech.

Co-founder and COO of Constella Intelligence, he was previously CEO and founder of Alto Data Analytics, a company specialised in applying big data and artificial intelligence to public data analysis. Prior to founding Alto Data Analytics in 2012, he was Vice-President of MTV and Nickelodeon for Southern Europe, Turkey, Middle East and Africa, and previously held different positions in companies such as Yahoo!, Vodafone and Alcatel-Lucent.

He is a visiting professor at Science Po (Paris) –where he teaches a course on hybrid threats as part of the International Security Masters–, a member of the executive board of the CyberPeace Institute, the board of the European Council on Foreign Relations and the advisory board of The Conversation.

He holds an MBA from Henley Business School and an Industrial Engineering and Automation and Electronics Degree from the Polytechnic University of Malaga. Since 2014, he has been an Endeavor entrepreneur and has attended its programs at Harvard University (Venture Scaling Executive Program) and Stanford University (Innovation and Growth Executive Program).
