Eva Garrido Ortiz de Urbina joined the Elcano Royal Institute as Director of Corporate Development in April 2022.
She is an expert on non for profits strategic management and has developed her professional career in the field of public diplomacy and international relations. She started her professional career in 1999 as a corporate lawyer in Barrilero & Asociados. In 2003 she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain as an Advisor at the DG for Asia. Under the Ministry’s mandate she led the startup project of the Spain-China, and Spain-Japan Council Foundations (2004), and later became their director.
She holds a LL. B (Bachelor of Laws) and an Economics Degree (University of Deusto). She also holds an L.L. M. (Master of Laws) degree in European and International Law (K.U. Leuven) and postgraduate studies in NGOs Management and Leadership (ESADE and San Pablo CEU).
