The start of negotiations between the United States and Russia to end the war, without the participation of Ukrainian and European Union representatives, reflects the Trump Administration’s determination to bring the conflict to an end, as well as the transformation of the transatlantic relationship. The (geo)political and economic consequences of the peace process will be significant for Ukraine, Europe, and the international liberal order.
