Friday, 4 April 2025, from 12:00 to 13:30 h. CEST (UTC+2). Venue: Fundación Botín, c/ Castelló 18 C, Madrid.

In a context of increasing global technological competition, quantum technologies are emerging as a key driver for productivity growth and economic growth. Quantum computing, quantum communications, and quantum sensing are set to transform strategic sectors such as cybersecurity, industry, healthcare, and defence. However, the European Union (EU) and Spain face significant challenges, including regulatory fragmentation, a lack of private investment, and the absence of a unified strategy.

At this event, TECNALIA and the Elcano Royal Institute will present their diagnostic work and recommendations to advance the development of quantum technologies in Spain and the EU. Joined by experts from the public and private sectors, we will discuss the main challenges and opportunities to consolidate an effective strategy in this critical field.
