Since its first edition in 2013, this annual report includes the main results of the Elcano Global Presence Index, a tool designed for the analysis of international relations. This edition of the Index ranks 110 countries according to the extent to which they are “out there” and responds to the following questions: Which are the countries with the greatest external projection? Are they the same as two decades ago? Is the world being deglobalized? How is Africa positioned in the process of globalization?
The participants will be Emilio Lamo de Espinosa, president of the Elcano Royal Institute, our analysts Iliana Olivié, Manuel Gracia and Ainhoa Marín, and Steven Gruzd, Head, African Governance and Diplomacy Programme at the South African Institute of International Affairs.
Thursday 31 May 2018, 12-2pm. Espacio Bertelsmann, O’Donnell 10, Madrid.
