The US-Mexican diplomatic relations quickly deteriorated after President Trump started fulfilling his promises to erect a border wall and expel migrants without proper residence permits. In addition to that, regional trade could be profoundly changed if the NAFTA agreement is changed or event cancelled as part of rising US protectionism. Latin America is anxiously expecting further moves by the Trump administration.
