Monday, 20th March 2023, from 18:30 to 19:30 h. CET (UTC+1).
Venue: Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union (Boulevard du Régent 52, 1000 Brussels).

In-person event

Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine has reignited debates about the European Union’s contribution to European security, and stimulated broader debates about Europe’s global role, especially as other regions and countries become important sources of political support and economic opportunity. This calls for a reflection on how the EU can engage with like-minded partners in regions like Latin America, Africa or the Indo-Pacific.

This public event constitutes a good opportunity to advance some of the geopolitical and strategic priorities for the European Commission and take a first look at those of the forthcoming Spanish presidency of the Council of the EU, which will take place in the second semester of 2023.
